Science
The new Science Scheme is an ambitious capital programme to which the LES Foundation has committed substantial funding from reserves and investment income. Estimated to cost in the region of £12M and phased over 6 years, there is scope within each individual phase for gift support, sponsorship and naming opportunities.
LGS Chemistry: The Norman Walter Building opened in October 2009
LHS Science Building: refurbishment and extension, due to open Autumn 2010
LGS Biology: due to begin construction Summer 2010
LGS Physics and Mathematics 2011-13.
We thank the Wolfson Foundation for a generous grant to help equip the new LHS Science Laboratories.
Thanks also to AstraZeneca: the AZ Community Fund has purchased specialist Biology equipment for Sixth Form work on DNA sequencing and cloning.
